In genealogy one normally starts with two parents and some kids. It is not long before it balloons into many. In my case it started with my mother’s two parents. I knew very little about my father’s parents except that he was adopted and he didn’t like them very much. That is where I started: two familiar and two only mentioned by my father in very few conversations. At that point I had the Aumicks, Woodruffs, and Sage. After some research I found that my fathers adoptive mother was part of the Jones family of Auburn, New York.
With the arrival of DNA these four families expanded by the Tennetys and some nebulous Italian family. Then my biological children had their mother’s family. And my three wives have families. And my children have their extended families. The point is that it quickly becomes a very “Extended” family. Feel free to investigate the family SAGE!
